NJ Passes Emergency Alarm School System

Recently the NJ Senate OK'd a bill which requires emergency lights and panic alarms in schools. This new bill will not only require the safety measures for public schools, it will also be funded by the state. The legislation which imposes these requirements came in response in the wake of the tragic school shootings around the country. The bill unanimously passed the Senate Budget Committee.
The panic alarm system would have a direct link to local police, and will not be audible within the school. The emergency light will be placed on the school's exterior to make the location clearer to emergency response units. These units would be separate from the fire system in the school and would be reserved for other emergencies.
Lawmakers estimate that the emergency alert system in schools will cost between one thousand, to five thousand dollars per school. The measure passed the Assembly last month, and still needs to pass the full Senate before the current legislative session ends next week.

Alarms such as these have seen a rise in installation. Most building owner's have put an emphasis on security, employee and resident safety. TR Alarm Systems is an alarm installation company that specializes in commercial and industrial security systems.
